Nana Asafo-Adjei Ayeh, who is currently the Deputy Director for External Affairs of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and an aspiring member of Parliament for the Bosome Freho constituency, has said that it’s time we have a grassroots person to lead the party.
The NPP is expected to hold its parliamentary elections on January 27, 2024, and the Bosome Freho constituency is among the few constituencies in the Ashanti Region that has received much attention.
Nana Kwame Asafo Adjei was appointed as the NPP’s Deputy Director for External Affairs, confirmed by the National Executive Council on August 26, 2022.
His appointment came as no surprise due to his significant contribution and track record in the party’s development.
Currently, he is one of five candidates vying for the parliamentary seat in the Bosome Freho Constituency in the Ashanti Region.
Speaking on the Oyerepa Breakfast show Wednesday morning, the parliamentary aspirant argued that Bosome Freho now needs someone who is a grassroots person, popular, and can promote the constituency’s development.
“I have not yet seen someone in our constituency who has unquestionably advocated for the betterment of Bosome Freho,” he stated.
“This is the first time our constituency is getting a young man who is a true party member and has been with the grassroots for a long time,” he added.
He explained that the Bosome Freho constituency needs a vibrant, hardworking young man who is a grassroots person and popular to win more votes for the party in this year’s election.
“Bosome Freho has many beautiful things, including seven waterfalls located within the constituency, which we must utilize for the development of the people,” he said.
He added that it’s time for the constituency to have someone who can not only win elections but also bring everyone together for the purpose of development.
