The Member of Parliament (MP) for Bososme Freho Constituency, Mr Kwasi Darko Boateng has promised to offer scholarship packages for final year students sitting for the year Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) in his constituency.
The students to benefit from this great opportunity according to Mr. Kwasi Darko Boateng will be the first 10 of them who will perform well in Core Science Subject.
The scholarship package from Kwasi Darko Boateng will cover the cost of everything including, uniforms, books, food items, and extra classes fee for these students during their three-year study at the various Senior High Schools they choose to attend.
The scholarship program excludes paying school fees which are already being catered for by the current government in its flagship Free SHS program.
The initiative comes after the MP went on a visit to all BECE centres in the constituency and also gave them words of encouragement to boost their confidence.
There are at least 1,247 candidates writing the 2023 BECE exam in the constituency.
Before the commencement of the exam today, the MP in their preparation organized a series of MOCK exams for the student. He also provided all candidates with Mathematical sets for their exams.
The District Educational Director has also taken suit by promising to offer scholarships to at least three more students in their Senior High education.
“The writing of the MOCK exam has helped to boost their confidence and we believe they are going to excel in their exam,” he said.
