Ghanaian preacher and leader of the International God’s Way Church, Bishop Daniel Obinim, has issued a strong caution to his estranged wife, gospel musician Florence Obinim, urging her to avoid any discussion about their personal relationship during public interviews.
The warning surfaced in a widely circulated TikTok video in which the controversial clergyman advised that Florence Obinim should completely steer away from marital topics whenever she appears on radio or television platforms. He insisted that her focus should remain strictly on promoting her music and professional work.
His remarks follow Florence Obinim’s recent interview, where she openly reflected on challenges within their marriage and hinted at the possibility of dropping the “Obinim” surname as part of her public identity amid ongoing tensions.
During that interview, Florence also spoke about receiving a vehicle, explaining that it marked a personal milestone after more than two decades in ministry and marriage without owning a car registered in her own name.
Reacting sharply, Bishop Obinim warned that continued public commentary on their relationship could force him to also share his side of the story, something he suggested would escalate the already tense situation.
He argued that even when she does not directly insult him, her statements still place him under public scrutiny and ridicule. He further cautioned that persistent media discussions could damage family unity beyond repair.
In his words, “When you go for an interview and are asked about your marriage, say that is not the reason you are there. Stop talking. You are pushing me. Your children will rise against you. Your children will no longer be united; it will go beyond that of Adwoa Safo and her brother, Kwadwo Akofena. The third thing is that there will be hatred between you, your six siblings, and members of the church. So keep quiet.”
