The daughter of late Ghanaian actress Beverly Afaglo, Violyn Baah, has stepped into the spotlight to help sustain her mother’s entrepreneurial legacy following her death.
The young entrepreneur was recently seen in Kasoa promoting ‘Traffic Shawarma’, the food business founded by Beverly Afaglo before her passing. Dressed in a branded ‘Traffic Shawarma’ T-shirt, Violyn joined her father, musician Eugene Kwadwo Boadu Baah, popularly known as Choirmaster of Praye, as they moved through the streets distributing flyers and creating awareness about the business.
Beverly Afaglo launched ‘Traffic Shawarma’ in April 2024 as part of her business ventures outside acting. She died on May 24, 2026, at the age of 42, after battling cancer.
Following her death, her family has continued efforts to keep the business running while preserving the actress’ entrepreneurial vision. Traffic Shawarma has branches in locations including Kasoa, Madina and Tema.
The family has also attached a charitable cause to the business, with GH₵1 from every shawarma sold reportedly going towards cancer care at the Breast Cancer Centre of Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.
Violyn’s recent appearance on the streets of Kasoa has therefore taken on a deeper meaning, as she helps promote the venture her late mother built while working alongside her father to keep Beverly Afaglo’s legacy alive.
At a young age, Violyn is already playing a visible role in the family business, turning her mother’s entrepreneurial dream into a continuing family project.
