Professor Charles Marfo, a lecturer at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), has criticized Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia for his interrogation of the late Amissah-Arthur, which consisted of 170 questions.
Prior to the 2016 general election, Dr Bawumia, who was then the running mate for the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) presidential candidate, presented 170 questions to the then Vice President, Paa Kwesi Amissah-Arthur.
This came after Amissah-Arthur accused Bawumia of lying during a public lecture about the true state of the economy, deeming his claims false.
During a panel discussion on Oyerepa Breakfast Time, Professor Marfo expressed doubt that Dr Bawumia would be able to answer those questions today.
“Bawumia has every opportunity. If I were him, I would be strategic and admit that I have shared ideas that were not taken. Sometimes, as a human being, you should clarify issues that people bring up about you. Of course, they want to win the 2024 elections. Do you remember the 170 questions Bawumia asked the late Amissah Arthur? Today, I believe Bawumia would find it difficult to answer those questions. You see, reality and theory are two different things.” He said.
