A renowned lecturer at Christian Service University (CSU), Rev. Justice Boffah Poku-Mensah, has expressed strong reservations about NPP Presidential candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s ability to lead Ghana as President.
Speaking on Oyerepa Breakfast Time, Rev. Poku-Mensah stated that Bawumia’s struggles in his campaign for power are unprecedented, except for Nana Addo’s similar experiences.
“Bawumia is not in a good position. Since 1992, I’ve never seen a flagbearer who has suffered in campaigning for power like Bawumia apart from Nana Addo.”
Rev. Poku-Mensah acknowledged Bawumia’s vision for the nation, saying, “If you put everything together, he has ideas to build the nation.”
However, he emphasized that Bawumia’s background, past promises, and current position make him unsuitable for the presidency.
“Bawumia is not in a good position… his background and the various promises he made in the past years and his position today don’t make him competent to take over Ghana’s Presidential throne,” he asserted.
Rev. Poku-Mensah’s comments come in the wake of many questions about Bawumia’s readiness for the highest office of the land
As the country approaches the December polls, a lot of political pundits and electorates are questioning the credibility of Bawumia as voters will be carefully considering the competence and suitability of all presidential aspirants, including Bawumia.
