Former District Chief Executive (DCE) for Sekyere Afram Plains, Mr. Fuseini Donkor, claims the Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has gone to an economics library to study so he can’t talk.
His comment is in relation to the fact that, the chairman of the economic management team of the country has refused to comment on the controversial Electronic Transactions Levy (E-Levy).
According to the former DCE, Dr. Bawumia and his government have totally failed Ghanaians due to his silence on E-levy and the depreciation of the Ghana Cedi. This is not what they promised Ghanaians.
Speaking on Oyerepa Breakfast Time hosted by Bismark Brown, he stated that, “Dr. Bawumia is in an economics library, so he doesn’t want to talk about harddship in Ghana.
“You claimed to have fine and brilliant ideas, when in opposition. Where is it now?…. If two billion Covid relief fund couldn’t revive the economy, what could E-levy do”. Mr. Fuseini questioned
However, he advised the government to invest in the planting of foods and jobs policy to help curb the crisis.
“This is the time we need planting for food and jobs policy. Invest in these areas. I think it can help curb the economic crisis”. He concluded.
