The Ashanti Regional Communications Officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Abass Nurudeen, has criticized Dr. Bawumia for attempting to distance himself from the mess created in the country by the current government led by President Akufo-Addo.
During an interview on Oyerepa Breakfast Time on Tuesday, April 2 2024, Abass Nurudeen argued that the NPP Flagbearer, Dr. Bawumia, cannot escape responsibility for the failures of the incumbent party, as both he and President Akufo-Addo are accountable for the current state of governance.
“Whether Dr Bawumia likes it or not, he will run on the legacies of this failed Akufo-Addo government. But he has realized that, if he runs on these legacies it will go against him so he’s running away but no matter what, he cannot delink himself from the mess caused by him and Akufo-Addo.” Abass was reacting to Bawumia’s plea at Kwahu where pleaded with Ghanaians to give him the mandate to fix the Akufo-Addo-led government’s mess.
