Haruna Ofori, believed to be in 50s is alleged to have shot himself in his room at Akrofro in the Berekum East Municipality of the Bono Region.
According to the wife of the deceased, Madam Kyeraa Doris, her husband locked himself in his room after ordering his super from her.
The widow who was running an errand after serving her husband later got information that her husband now deceased have shot himself to death.
Upon reaching the scene, she saw her husband lying in a pool of blood with his gun near him.
Meanwhile, the body has been deposited at the Berekum Holy Family Hospital after he was confirmed dead by doctors.
Berekum police command has commenced investigation into the incident.
