The founder of the Ayieta Gazaan Educational Foundation, Mr. Charles Abakisi Ayieta, has donated 200 copies of exercise books to Ayieta Junior High School in the Builsa North Municipality.
Speaking at a short ceremony at the Ayieta Junior High School in Sandema on Monday, Mr. Abakisi said the gesture formed part of his many contributions to improve teaching and learning within the municipality.
He noted that the Ayieta Gazaan Foundation was formed in 2007 to promote the welfare of children by embarking on initiatives and working with stakeholders to ensure that children had the best opportunities to realize their potentials.
According to Mr. Abakisi, this initiative aims to alleviate the financial burden on parents who struggle to afford these essential educational materials for their children.
He said education was key in changing society, hence the topmost priority of his founded educational foundation (Ayieta Gazaan Foundation) to ensure that every Builsa child, especially needy but brilliant children, secured a better future in Buluk.
This initiative is part of his broader commitment to invest in education and nurture the next generation of leaders who will contribute significantly to the development of their communities.
Mr. Charles Abakisi said his outfit, with support from friends and other well-wishers, decided to donate the books to the pupils of Ayieta Junior High School to encourage them to pursue their education with zeal and enthusiasm.
He lauded friends, volunteers, and all individuals who supported the initiative with their resources, time, and prayers.
Mr. Fadulu Salifu, SISO for Sandema West who received the books on behalf of GES and the school, said the donation was timely since most students come to school without exercise books, which is negatively affecting academic work.
“The books have come at the right time, and I’m very sure that it’s going to be of great help to the students because.”
