Madam Beatrice Ashiyon, a delegate from Newtown, has expressed her desire for a successor who can match the standards set by their former Member of Parliament for Ayawaso East.
Speaking to Oyerepa News, she praised the former MP’s dedication to the community, citing his support for children and women. She appealed to God to bring someone with similar qualities, emphasizing the negative impact of his passing.
“I walked from Newtown to get here; if I had money, I’d have taken a car. God should help us get an MP who’ll care for women and children, because we’re suffering,” she said.
Madam Beatrice Ashiyon specifically endorsed the idea of the NDC selecting the former MP’s wife to continue his work, highlighting his efforts in supporting children’s education and community development.
