Attorney-General files motion to halt Sedina Tamakloe’s acquittal
Attorney-General and Minister for Justice, Dr Dominic Ayine, has applied to the Court of Appeal for a stay of execution to prevent the acquittal of former Microfinance and Small Loans Centre (MASLOC) Chief Executive Officer, Sedina Tamakloe-Attionu, from taking immediate effect.
The motion, filed on Thursday, July 30, 2026, was submitted by Principal State Attorney Hilda W. Craig on behalf of the Attorney-General.
In the application, the state is asking the Court of Appeal to suspend the enforcement of its judgment while it pursues an appeal against the acquittal at the Supreme Court.
The Court of Appeal is yet to announce a date for hearing the application.
