A simmering dispute between Ghanaian actors Atemuda and Don Little has erupted into public view after Atemuda responded fiercely to claims that he demanded GH¢5,000 per day to feature in a movie project for which Don Little had sought his assistance.

The controversy began after Don Little, born Stephen Atanga, reportedly alleged that Atemuda demanded an amount he considered excessive for a film production. The remarks quickly gained traction on social media, prompting Atemuda to release a self-recorded video in which he rejected the allegations and challenged several claims Don Little had allegedly made about his career and personal history.

In the video, Atemuda questioned Don Little’s assertions that he had played a significant role in his rise within the movie industry and denied suggestions that he had been removed from any previous acting platform.

“What did you say? That you brought me from Takoradi to Accra? That they sacked me from ‘Junka Town’? Who sacked me? I came to stay here for so many years before I met you. What are you talking about?” Atemuda said.

The actor went on to dismiss any suggestion that he owed his success to Don Little, arguing that he had established himself long before their paths crossed. He further expressed frustration over what he described as repeated references to favours and assistance allegedly offered to him.

“You need to even compensate me for your car that I used, and you are bragging about. Have you bought food for me to eat before? Do you pay for the food we eat outside?” he asked.

Atemuda also took a swipe at Don Little’s professional standing, suggesting that the actor’s opportunities outside the movie industry were limited.

“If not for movies, what job could you have done?” he added.

The public confrontation has since sparked debate among fans, with some defending Atemuda’s right to determine his own value as an actor, while others argue that industry colleagues should settle such disagreements privately. Regardless of where public opinion falls, the latest war of words has exposed growing tensions between two well-known figures in Ghanaian entertainment and is unlikely to end anytime soon unless both parties choose to resolve their differences away from the spotlight.
