The Member of Parliament (MP) for Asokwa Constituency in the Ashanti Region, Mrs Patricia Appiagyei aka Mama Pat has officially unveiled the District Road Improvement Programme (DRIP) essential equipment that has been allocated to the Asokwa Municipality.
The official commissioning came off today, October 3 2021 at the forecourt of the Asokwa Municipal Assembly.
Speaking to Oyerepa News, the Asokwa Lawmaker, commended the NPP government led by President Akufo-Addo for the great project.
“I am pleased to extend my sincerest appreciation to President Akufo-Addo and Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia for their visionary leadership in launching the DRIP Project.” The Deputy Majority Leader stated.
She expressed further that, the DRIP equipment will accelerate the constituency’s development via the maintenance of deplorable roads.
“Regular road maintenance in our communities facilitates swift transportation and cleanliness. With the launch of the DRIP project, it’s essential we utilize the equipment to repair dilapidated roads, to achieve our transformation goals.” the Legislator said.
Mama Pat however advised leaders of the Asokwa Municipal Assembly to use the machines appropriately for proper development.
“If we’re able to take good care of these machines, we’ll be able to fix all the deplorable routes in the Asokwa constituency.” Mama Pat expressed.
The deputy majority leader added that the NPP Flagbearer, Dr Bawumia masterminded the DRIP project, as a result, the Asokwa constituents should make it a mandate to vote for him on December 7 2024.
“Dr. Bawumia and President Akufo-Addo pioneered this remarkable initiative (DRIP Project) to accelerate Ghana’s development.
To ensure continuity of their outstanding work and policies, such as Free SHS, Agenda 111, One District One Factory (1D1F), and Planting for Food and Jobs, among others, Ghanaians need to re-elect the NPP government.”

DRIP-2024 aims to provide MMDAs with state-of-the-art equipment and technical training, thereby improving their capacity for road maintenance and construction. By equipping local authorities with these vital resources, the program ensures that road projects are completed efficiently and to the highest standards.
