School Feeding caterers in the Ashanti Region are expressing frustration over unpaid arrears owed to them by the School Feeding Secretariat.
Despite numerous assurances from regional NPP executives, the caterers claim they have yet to receive payment.
The caterers, who spoke to the media, stated that they have sent multiple petitions to the relevant authorities but have not received a response. They are now threatening to organize a demonstration if their arrears are not paid by Friday.
The caterers explained that they struggle to meet their financial obligations, including payments to bankers and lenders, due to the outstanding debt.
They are appealing to President Nana Akufo-Addo and the School Feeding Secretariat to address their concerns and pay the arrears to avoid a planned demonstration.
