Arabic teacher declared wanted for defiling two minors at Fijai Zongo mosque

The Western Regional Police Command has declared a man named Sule Anas wanted in connection with the defilement and unnatural carnal knowledge of two minors at Fijai Zongo Central, near Sekondi.

The suspect was employed by community leaders in Fijai Zongo Central to teach their children Arabic on weekends. According to a police statement issued on May 21, 2026, investigations revealed that he lured the victims into a storeroom inside the mosque under the pretext of performing spiritual cleansing, where he proceeded to sexually abuse them.

An arrest warrant was issued by the Gender Court in Sekondi on Wednesday, May 20, 2026. The suspect is described as fair in complexion and approximately 5.7 feet tall. He is believed to be hiding in either Côte d’Ivoire or Togo.

The Western Regional Police Command is urging anyone with information about his whereabouts to contact the Domestic Violence and Victim Support Unit, visit the nearest police station, or call 191 or 112.
