Evangelist Patricia Asiedua, popularly known as Nana Agradaa, has officially withdrawn and disowned all allegations she previously levelled against Gospel musician Empress Gifty, admitting that the claims were false and unfounded.
In a press statement issued on December 4, 2025, her legal team, Agyaa Asamani Law Consult, confirmed that the accusations circulated on social media in May 2025 were made “in the spur of the moment” and had no merit.
Lead counsel Richard Asare Baffour emphasized the finality of the retraction, stressing that the allegations “were untrue and should not be given any weight.”
The legal withdrawal aims to correct the public record and ease months of tensions and speculation between the two public figures.
Following the official retraction, Nana Agradaa issued a personal, unreserved apology to Empress Gifty. She acknowledged the harm her social media comments caused to the singer’s reputation, career, and personal life, extending the apology to Empress Gifty’s family, friends, and colleagues.
Empress Gifty had earlier filed a 20 million cedi defamation lawsuit against Nana Agradaa in May 2025. The suit stated that during a social media outburst on May 13, 2025—amid a dispute involving Empress Gifty’s husband, Hopeson Adorye- Agradaa attacked him online and made defamatory statements about the Gospel artiste across platforms, including Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube.
