The former Udinese star has showered praises on ‘intelligent’ midfielder Daniel Kofi Kyereh ahead of the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier play-off match against the Super Eagles of Nigeria.
The former Black Stars kingpin says he really likes the FC St Pauli maestro because of his intelligence.
In an interview with Kumasi-based Oyerepa FM on Thursday, Agyemang Badu who was a member of the Black Stars team that wallop Egypt 6-1 prior to the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, was full of praise of the new Ghana playmaker.
“I like this guy Daniel Kofi Kyereh, he’s very intelligent on the ball”. Badu said. ”I hope he gets a good game and that will be very fine for the team.
“We really need to beat Nigeria to qualify qualify for the World Cup in Qatar. Winning the game will depend on our midfielders, we need to dominate the midfield so we can create chances,” Agyemang Badu added.
Kyereh is one of the players Ghana is banging its hopes on for tomorrow’s match at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.
The two West African sworn rivals with will face each other over two legs scheduled for Friday, March 25 and Tuesday, March 29 with the winner set to join the party to the global showpiece in Qatar.
The 1st leg will take place at Baba Yara Sports Stadium at 19:30Hrs on Friday.
Winner of the two legs between Ghana and Nigeria will represent Africa at the next FIFA World Cup tournament in Qatar later this year.
