The President of the Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa (BADEA), H.E Dr. Sidi Ould Tad, has reaffirmed the institution’s dedication to supporting Africa’s growth and strengthening economic ties between the Arab and African regions.
Speaking at the BADEA Prosperity Partnership: Celebrating 50 Years of Arab-Africa Co-operation and Launch of the Arab-Africa Financial Consortium in Accra, Dr. Tad emphasised BADEA’s unique position as the sole institution fully devoted to Africa, reflecting the commitment of its shareholders to the continent.
He stressed the importance of partnership and collaboration in fostering economic and financial relationships between the Arab and African worlds.
Dr. Tad also acknowledged the successful partnership between BADEA and the African Development Bank, celebrating their joint achievements over the years.
The event marked the beginning of a new era for BADEA, with plans to establish a joint consortium between Arab and African financial institutions and develop a vision for the next 50 years, dubbed “Vision BADEA 2074.”
This milestone signals a renewed commitment to African development and economic cooperation between the Arab and African worlds.
