Minority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin has paid a visit to former Bank of Ghana (BoG) Governor, Dr. Ernest Addison, following a dawn raid on his Roman Ridge residence by National Security operatives.
The operation, which occurred early Wednesday morning, was reportedly led by Richard Jakpa, Director of Special Operations at the National Security Secretariat.
According to reports, approximately 15 armed soldiers arrived in three separate vehicles and forcefully entered the premises. Upon gaining access, they disabled the CCTV system and demanded that Dr. Addison lead them to supposed “vaults” hidden within the house. Despite his denials, they proceeded to ransack the residence.
The operatives also seized four of Dr. Addison’s six vehicles, which were later found parked outside Jokers Club in Labadi and subsequently retrieved.
The incident has sparked concerns about the nature of such security operations and their implications.
