Adina Thembi Ndamse better known by her stage name as Adina in the showbiz space has recounted the hatred she encountered whilst growing up in her neighbourhood.
During an interview with Amansan Krakye, the ‘Obi Tan Wo’ hitmaker reminisced how she was judged to be a bad girl and disrespectful due to her fair skin colour.
She recounted “Growing up because I am a fair skin coloured person when a lot of people see me at first glance they judge me to be disrespectful just because of my skin colour.
“I’ve had instances where in the area that we reside people used to tell my mother to keep a close eye on me just because I was looking very fair in complexion,” she revealed on Cape Coast-based Property FM
“Sometimes when my mother tells me about the complaints she’s getting about me I used to feel so hurt because to me I don’t see what I’ve done wrong.
“But just because of the way God has created me the moment you set your eyes on me you conclude that I’ll be a very bad girl or disrespectful and that’s some of the experiences I’ve been through,” she added.
