Nii Abossey Okai III, the chief of Abossey Okai, has urged Ghanaians, particularly the youth, to prioritize peace and unity as the country approaches the 2024 general elections.
This message comes as the community prepares for the Homowo celebration, a vibrant cultural event showcasing the rich heritage of the Ga people.
Nii Abossey Okai emphasized that Homowo is a time for unity and reconciliation, reminding Ghanaians to put aside their differences and work towards a common goal. He cautioned against violence and electoral malpractices, advising the youth to resist manipulation and deception.
The chief highlighted various activities planned for the Homowo celebration, including a clean-up exercise, free health screening, and a street carnival. He invited all Ghanaians to join the Abossey Okai community for a memorable and remarkable celebration.
“As we celebrate Homowo, let us remember the importance of peace and unity in our lives. Don’t be misled by politicians or peers, and avoid taking the law into your own hands,” he said.
