A woman of about 60 years, who is a trader and a farmer has been killed by an unknown assailant at Ahyiresu in the Atwima Mponua District of the Ashanti Region.
Madam Kokor Lydia well known as Auntie Kokor met her untimely death on Thursday, April 20, 2023 around 3 PM.
According to a confidential report, she was butchered at her own farm by the killer.
Multiple sources indicate that the woman was looking for someone to work on her farm and an unknown man approached her that he is a labourer and would want to work for her since she is looking for one.
The woman then led the assailant to the farm where she was murdered.
The killer cut his victim’s neck region and wrist multiple times until she died.
According, to the report, the body of the woman was discovered on Friday around 6 PM following a search at her farm prior to a report by her friend that she had not returned from the farm since Thursday.
The case was reported to the Nhyinahin Police who then conveyed the body to the Nyinahin Hospital morgue for investigation.
Meanwhile, Tetteh John aka Nana Addo, brother of the deceased has been arrested in connection with his sister’s murder.
The report suggests that his sister was killed a day after he ( Nana Addo) visited her.
