Three people have lost their lives in a fatal road accident involving an O.A. Transport minibus at Kyiraburoso, near Adansi Asokwa, on the Bekwai–New Edubiase road in the Ashanti Region.
The minibus, registered AS 8914-22, was reportedly en route from Accra to Obuasi on Wednesday night when it collided with a faulty Kia truck that had been left in its lane.
Fomena District Police Commander, DSP Samson Wunyi Mumuni, told Adom News that the truck was hooked to a tanker travelling towards Assin Fosu at the time of the crash.
The vehicle was carrying 14 passengers, and the impact of the collision left three dead on the spot, while several others sustained injuries.
Emergency teams rushed the injured to nearby health facilities for treatment.
