The Ashanti South Regional Police Command has arrested two suspects in connection with the robbery and murder of a 20-year-old man, Kofi Mensah, at Tweapiase-Aboo in the Amansie Central District of the Ashanti Region.
The suspects, identified as Solomon Opoku and Collins Aboagye, were apprehended following sustained intelligence-led operations.
Addressing the media at a press conference held at the Regional Police Headquarters, ACP Joseph Hammond Nyaaba, the Regional Commander, explained that on October 10, 2025, suspect Solomon Opoku was arrested at Council Quarters in Obuasi while attempting to sell the stolen motorbike.
Subsequent investigations led to the arrest of his accomplice, Collins Aboagye, at Kokoteasua, another suburb of Obuasi.
