Inhabitants of the Kyerease Electoral Area in the Suame Municipality of the Ashanti Region are pleading with the government to repair their deteriorating roads immediately.
According to the residents, the dust from the road is causing them health issues.
Residents complained to Oyerepa FM in an interview about how the contractor suddenly and unexpectedly abandoned the route, posing a challenge for them.
Road construction in the Electoral Area began in January 2022 but has since been stymied, and the Contractor (JOSHOP) is nowhere to be found.
Notwithstanding the Assembly Member for Kyerease Electoral Area Elvis Nyantakyi’s assurance that the road would be fixed, the residents are prepared to abstain from voting if the situation continues.
