The Member of Parliament for Oforikrom Constituency, Micheal Aidoo has taken a swipe at former President John Dramani Mahama over his pledge to complete several stalled infrastructure projects in the Ashanti Region should he return to office in 2025.
Dr. Marfo’s comments come in response to Mahama’s recent thank-you tour in the Ashanti Region, during which the National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer visited a number of long-abandoned infrastructure sites, including the Krofrom Market, the Kejetia Market Phase II, and the Suame Interchange.
The former president promised to complete these projects if elected in the upcoming general elections.
However, speaking in an interview with Kwesi Parker-Wilson, on Oyerepa Breakfast Show the Oforikrom MP downplayed Mahama’s promises and dismissed their political significance.
According to him, infrastructure alone will not sway voters in the Ashanti Region—a traditional stronghold of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
