The Chief of Asafo (Asafohene) in the Kumasi Metropolis of the Ashanti Region, Nana Achamfuor Baah Bonsu II, has set up a team called Development Committee.
The committee will steer the various developmental activities of the Asafo community.
Speaking at the Asafo Homecoming event, the Asafohene stated that, the Development Committee will also address various challenges that hinder the development of the Asafo community.
According to him, his community lacks adequate growth therefore the team will help to facilitate the smooth development of his community.
Declaring his utmost priority, he indicated his quest to improve the quality of education in communities within his jurisdiction such as some villages in the Manso traditional area.
He, however, appealed to his people to rally behind him to transform Asafo.
Nana Achamfuor Baah Bonsu, who is also Otumfuo Brempong, tasked the residents to forge ahead in Unity to rebuild the once vibrant Asafo town.
