The Ashanti Regional Women’s Organizer for the New Patriotic Party, NPP, and Nana Ama Ampomah has donated a sum of five thousand (GHc5000) Ghana Cedis to support Mantukwa D/A Primary School’s renovation project.
Speaking on Oyerepa Breakfast Show hosted by Nana Yaw Mensah Joel on her victory, she indicated that her victory has come for all especially to help empower women.
Identifying some qualities of women, she added that women are compassionate and care for the underserved. Therefore she wants to support the project to put smiles on the faces of the Pupils.
“I am a woman and a compassionate one, donating to support some of these social issues has always been my passion. They are my kids and I can’t watch them sit in the classroom with goats amidst dust, I want to support them with five thousand Ghana Cedis to help renovate their classroom,” She stated.
Pupils of Mantukwa D/A primary School in the Offinso North District share dusty, muddy and doorless classrooms with goats.
According to the pupils, goats defecate and urinate in the classroom whenever school closes or they go on break. They will have to come back to goats’ excreta and urine. After sharing their plight and appealing on Oyerepa Breakfast Show for assistance, a couple of donations were made to support the project and Nana Ama Ampomah’s donation is the latest on the list
