A Ghanaian ministry in the United States, Minnesota knowns as “Nourishment From Above” has fed 7 Ghanaian communities in the Central Region.
The charity came off last Saturday at Amponsah Akuraa, Agona Boaduro and its surrounding communities in the Central Region.
The charity is part of the US Minnesota based ministry’s vision to assist human lives in all endeavours, especially the poor, widows, orphans among others in the world, according to Doctor Joyce Ayesu, leader and founder of Nourishment From Above Ministry.
About 500 people both young and elderly, thus single parents, the aged, widows and widowers each was provided jollof rice, hampers and inside the hamper were rice, oil, bread, among others as a Christmas gift.
The ministry spent about 10,000 Dollars on the donations.
Speaking to Oyerepa Online, Doctor Joyce Ayesu said her ministry is a humanitarian service that seeks to provide a better living for all individuals, especially, the aged, widows and widowers, single parents and the poor.
“We are always seeking what we can do to help humanity.”
According to her, the US based Ghanaian ministry has a “mission work, so every year we do a lot of things God has directed us to help humanity.”
She said, Nourishment From Above Ministry also empowers women in various societies in the world.
Doctor Joyce Ayesu declared that, apart from the food items, the ministry donated 10 sowing machines to single mothers who are willing to go into sowing.
She added that, each of the women is going to be given some monthly allowance and “in about 2 years I will come down and graduate them. I will give them some capital to start their own business.”
