Mr Joseph Asuming, District Chief Executive [DCE] of Bosomtwe jokingly swerved questions he had not prepared for during an interview claiming, they were “ambush questions”.
According to Mr Asuming, he could not give a statistical or accurate answers to questions he had not prepared for during the interview.
The DCE in an interview with kumasi-based radio station, Tuesday was asked about proper mechanisms he and the Bosomtwe District Assembly had put in place to revamp the most popular tourist site in Ashanti Region, Lake Bosomtwe to an international standard.
Responding to the question, he said, “This is an ambush question therefore you should be expecting ambush answers.”
Mr Asuming told the host of the show that plans were far ahead for the redevelopment of the natural lake (Bosomtwe) however since he was not fully prepared, he could not give vivid details about the project. However, his office is working hard to fix or reconstruct the road leading to Abono, the community in which the tourist site is situated.
The Bosomtwe DCE further called on all stakeholders to assist in the promotion of Lake Bosomtwe in order to accumulate a lot of revenue for its care.
“I wish you would come for partnership to promote Lake Bosomtwe.” Mr Asuming called for.

Brief background of Lake Bosomtwe
Lake Bosomtwe is the only natural lake in Ghana. It is about 10.5 kilometres (6.5 mi) in diameter. It is located in Abono in the Bosomtwe District of Ashanti Region and about 30 km (19 mile) South-East of Kumasi, the capital of Ashanti.
It is the most popular recreational area in the region.
There are about 30 villages near Lake Bosomtwi, with a combined population of about 71,000.
