The Deputy Minister was worried facilitators of various government projects and programmes do not honour calls to expedite measures to boost development. “This is the cause of pride and arrogance… one should readily avail him/ herself at all times to a National Call Every time,” Lawyer Appiah Kubi advised.
He threw light on the Ghana-Burkina Faso (20-22 billion) project, describing it as one of the biggest upcoming projects to hit the country, though halted due to COVID-19. “Kumasi Rail is part of my schedule. “Feasibility studies are ongoing to reconcile two reports and reach a compromise on which to choose,” the Honourable Member of Parliament hinted to Nana Jantuah.
On issues of Asante Akyem Constituency, Lawyer Appiah Kubi disclosed that measures have been put in place to tackle the challenging Fulani-Residents of Asante Akyem exchanges, of which he hoped for positive results moving forward.
Lawyer Andy Appiah Kubi also talked about how keen his interest is in education in his constituency saying, “I usually meet educational heads within my constituency and demand of their plans ahead of every term and the things they will need to expedite their programmes.”
The last Constituency league of the country rated Asante Akyem as 178th position, which is quite commendable.
