Four people have died in a road crash involving a Toyota Voxy and a MAN Diesel trailer at Anyinasin Junction on the Accra-Kumasi Highway.

The accident occurred in the early hours of Monday, September 28, 2026.

The Bunso Fire Station received a distress call at 5:21 a.m. and arrived at the scene at 5:35 a.m. with a seven-member crew.

Firefighters worked to rescue victims trapped in the vehicles, secured the accident scene and assisted with traffic management.

The Toyota Voxy, with registration number GR 9430-26, was completely wrecked in the collision, while the MAN Diesel trailer, registered GS 4064-26, also sustained damage.

One male victim was rescued and transported to the Kibi Government Hospital for medical treatment.

However, four other occupants—three males and one female—were pronounced dead at the scene.

The bodies have since been handed over to the appropriate authorities as the Police commence investigations into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
