A viral video showing Ghanaian preacher Rev. Christian Kwabena Andrews, popularly known as Osofo Kyiri Abosom, leading an energetic ministration at his Life Assembly Worship Centre, popularly known as the Fire Grounds, has sparked conversations on social media.

In the 62-second footage, Osofo Kyiri Abosom is seen leading a packed congregation dressed predominantly in red as members wave brooms and participate energetically in the prayer session.

During the ministration, the preacher calls out, “In the mighty name of… In the name of…”, to which the congregants respond loudly, “Fire!”

The unusual style of the prayer has attracted attention online, with viewers focusing on the congregation’s coordinated response, red robes, brooms and the repeated emphasis on “fire” during the service.

Osofo Kyiri Abosom is the founder and leader of Life Assembly Worship Centre, which has been associated with the name “Fire Grounds.” The church has operated branches including locations in Accra and Kumasi.

The preacher has also previously made several unconventional statements about mainstream Christian teachings. In past interviews, he has questioned the traditional Christian understanding of Jesus Christ, the Bible, Heaven and Hell, while explaining that his ministry relies on what he describes as spiritual power.

His approach to ministry has consequently remained a subject of public discussion, particularly whenever videos from his church services emerge online.

The latest footage has once again placed Osofo Kyiri Abosom and his distinctive style of worship at the centre of social media conversations, as the congregation’s emphatic response of “Fire!” continues to attract attention.
