Ghanaian socialite Queenie, the partner of Ghanaian fraud suspect Abu Trica, has responded to growing speculation surrounding a viral video showing her in a seemingly close interaction with Ketse, one of Abu Trica’s associates.

The video, which has been widely circulated on social media, shows Queenie and Ketse smiling and playfully interacting in what appears to be a public indoor setting, prompting some social media users to question the nature of their relationship.

Addressing the speculation in a Snapchat post, Queenie explained that her relationship with Ketse predates her romance with Abu Trica, insisting that the friendship should not be interpreted as a betrayal.

“I’ve known them since 2015, and Ketse was already one of my closest people even before I started dating Abu. The funny part is, Ketse didn’t even know about it at the time,” she posted.

Her comments come at a time when public interest in her relationship with Abu Trica remains high following his extradition to the United States in July 2026 over alleged romance scam and money laundering offences.

With Abu Trica currently facing legal proceedings in the US, the viral footage has triggered renewed debate among Ghanaian social media users about Queenie’s relationship with people within his circle.

Queenie’s explanation, however, suggests that her friendship with Ketse existed long before she began dating Abu, although the viral video continues to fuel speculation online.

For now, neither Queenie nor Ketse has indicated that the interaction in the video was anything beyond friendship, leaving the controversy largely driven by social media interpretations of the footage.
