“Shatta loves me a lot” – McBrown praises Shatta Wale for supporting ‘Ama’

Ghanaian actress and television host Felicity Ama Agyemang, widely known as Nana Ama McBrown, has publicly acknowledged Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jr., popularly known as Shatta Wale, for helping generate attention for her latest movie, ‘Ama’.

McBrown said Shatta Wale’s decision to promote the film online ahead of its premiere was particularly meaningful to her, especially after seeing his posts about the project attract considerable attention on X and Facebook.

“I really want to appreciate Shatta because when the Ama premiere came, I was there and I saw that he had tweeted on X and Facebook, and it was trending. I have known for a long time that Shatta loves me a lot and respects me, so I was very happy when I saw it. Yeah, I was very happy about it,” she said.

According to McBrown, the gesture reflects the strong bond and mutual regard between the two entertainers. She stressed that Shatta Wale can equally count on her support whenever he needs her.

“He knows whenever he needs me for whatever he’s doing, I will go and support him too,” she added.

Shatta Wale’s public endorsement came as Ama was building momentum towards its premiere, with his social media presence helping push the movie further into public conversation.

McBrown’s comments underline the importance of solidarity among Ghanaian entertainers, particularly when established personalities use their platforms to support one another’s projects.
