Kelvynboy congratulates Stonebwoy after BHIMFest London despite their bitter past
Ghanaian musician Kelvin Brown, popularly known as Kelvynboy, has publicly congratulated his former mentor and Burniton Music Group boss, Livingstone Etse Satekla, popularly known as Stonebwoy, following his successful BHIM Fest London concert.
In a message shared on X alongside a video, Kelvynboy acknowledged Stonebwoy’s achievement at the OVO Arena Wembley, where the dancehall star headlined a major BHIM Fest event.
“I want to take this opportunity to congratulate Stonebwoy on his London show,” Kelvynboy said.
The message comes against the backdrop of the complicated history between the two artistes. Kelvynboy was formerly signed to Stonebwoy’s Burniton Music Group before their relationship deteriorated and eventually led to his departure from the label in 2019.
Their fallout generated considerable attention within Ghana’s music industry, with both artistes subsequently pursuing separate paths. Over the years, however, there have been moments that have fuelled speculation about a possible thaw in their relationship.
Kelvynboy’s latest public gesture has therefore attracted attention, particularly from fans who see his congratulatory message as a positive sign despite their past differences.
Stonebwoy’s London performance further cemented his growing international profile, and Kelvynboy’s decision to publicly celebrate the achievement could add another layer to the long-running story between the former mentor and protégé.
For many followers of Ghanaian music, the message could signal a willingness to put past disagreements aside and acknowledge each other’s accomplishments.
