Philomena Goodman Orphanage Receives Relief from Amsab Foundation

As part of its drive to support the underprivileged, the Amsab Foundation over the weekend donated assorted items to the Philomena Goodman Foundation Orphanage at Pokuase in the Ga West Municipality of the Greater Accra Region.

The donated items included bags of rice, cartons of milk, assorted drinks, biscuits, toiletries, bags of sachet water, and other essential supplies aimed at easing the burden of care at the home.

Speaking to the media after the presentation, Abigail Tetteh, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Amsab Foundation, said the gesture forms part of the Foundation’s annual campaign to reach vulnerable children and communities across Ghana.

“Every year, my team and I identify orphanage homes that need support. We don’t just show up to donate. We first visit, listen, and conduct a needs assessment to understand what each home truly requires,” Tetteh explained.

She added that once the needs are identified, the Foundation mobilizes support from friends, family, and partners to raise funds and deliver targeted assistance.

“For us, it is more than just giving donations. It is about showing love, restoring hope, and reminding every child that they matter,” she said.

Receiving the items on behalf of the orphanage, Administrator Bismark Akumatey expressed profound gratitude to the Foundation for its consistent support.

“We want to specially thank you for your love and support for these lovely children. All we can say is that may God bless you and support you in every area of your life,” Akumatey stated.

Since launching the outreach project in 2021, Amsab Foundation has supported six orphanages across the country as part of its commitment to humanitarian service.

The Foundation says it will continue to partner with individuals and organizations to expand its reach to more underprivileged homes in the coming years.
