Ramsey Nouah reveals wife is used to his romantic scenes, says she critiques his kissing
Nigerian actor Ramsey Tokunbo Nouah Jr., popularly known as Ramsey Nouah, has recalled an unusual encounter with a female admirer during one of his visits to Ghana for a movie premiere.
The veteran actor said the fan approached him with excitement, embraced him and posed for photographs before discreetly placing an unidentified item inside his jacket without his knowledge.
Ramsey Nouah said he only noticed the object after she had left, initially assuming it was a handkerchief. He later realised it was something entirely different but chose not to reveal its identity, leaving the audience to speculate.
“The girl forgot her something in my pocket. She played with me, hugged me, we took pictures and she left it in my jacket. I took it out; I thought it was a handkerchief. It wasn’t a handkerchief. I will leave the rest for your imagination,” he said.
The revelation triggered laughter and speculation from the interview panel, with guests suggesting that the mysterious item was the woman’s underwear. Ramsey Nouah laughed off the reaction and appeared to take the unusual encounter in good spirits.
The actor, who has been married to Emelia Phillips Nouah for nearly three decades, also spoke about how his wife handles his romantic scenes on screen.
According to him, his wife understands that kissing and intimate scenes are part of his profession and has become accustomed to seeing him perform such roles throughout their marriage.
“Your woman needs to understand your work. I have been married to my wife for about 27 years. All the kisses and everything in movies, she is used to it. She used to tell me, ‘You are not kissing very well. You don’t do it anymore because you are not good anymore,’” he noted.
Ramsey Nouah’s revelations offered a glimpse into both the unexpected attention he receives from fans and the understanding required from spouses of actors whose profession often involves romantic scenes.
