LilWin offers to buy leaked intimate videos to protect movie promotions
Ghanaian actor and musician Kwadwo Nkansah, popularly known as LilWin, has made a controversial offer to people in possession of private intimate videos, saying he is prepared to buy them to prevent such content from derailing publicity for his upcoming movies.
In a social media video, the Kumawood actor said he would keep any intimate videos handed to him and only release them after completing the promotion of his film projects.
“Any man who has a woman’s nudes or any woman who has a man’s nudes, bring them to me and I will pay you. If you want to leak the ‘azigi’, I will buy them and, when I’m done promoting my movie, I will leak them for you,” he said.
LilWin, whose real name is Kwadwo Nkansah, suggested that controversies involving leaked intimate videos often emerge around the time he is working on movies, taking public attention away from his productions.
He said his latest film is being used to build anticipation ahead of a bigger international project he plans to shoot next month.
“I’m shooting this movie to create awareness, and wait till next month to shoot the main one. Is this how you all are going to leak people’s sex videos to prevent my movies from trending? After I finish shooting a movie, it’s either someone is dead, or someone is leaking another person’s sex videos. Why are you people doing this to me?” he questioned.
The actor further disclosed that he has committed substantial resources to his productions and does not want unrelated controversies to undermine their publicity.
“I now buy ‘azigi’, so bring all of them to me and I will pay you. I will post them on your behalf after I’m done promoting my movies. I’m investing a lot of money in these projects, so preventing them from getting attention wouldn’t help me,” he added.
LilWin also urged people not to resort to dangerous behaviour simply to attract public attention, stressing that such incidents should not be allowed to overshadow his work.
“No one should also do something to trend. Don’t force yourself and die or get into an accident for that to overshadow what I’m doing,” he said.
His remarks have added a fresh and provocative twist to the growing conversation around leaked private content, while highlighting his frustration over what he considers distractions from his filmmaking ambitions.
