Shatta Wale hails Nana Ama McBrown, urges Ghanaians to support ‘AMA’ movie

Dancehall star Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jr., popularly known as Shatta Wale, has praised actress and media personality Nana Ama McBrown for her impact and resilience, while rallying Ghanaians to support her upcoming movie, ‘AMA’.

In a Facebook post ahead of the premiere, Shatta Wale described McBrown as a remarkable woman and called on the public to turn up in support of the project.

“Nana Ama McBrown dey try too much as a woman, chale. The whole Ghana must go and support this project. I no see woman wey get kapa like this before. #AMA is the movie. Go watch some and support fully. Jefferey Ofee f333. #Street,” he posted.

The highly anticipated movie, which features Nana Ama McBrown and other notable Ghanaian actors, will be screened in three sessions on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at the UPSA Auditorium. The screenings are scheduled for 2–4pm, 5–7pm and 8–10pm.

Shatta Wale’s endorsement adds to the publicity surrounding the movie, with his strong praise for McBrown highlighting the influence she continues to wield within Ghana’s entertainment industry.

His call for massive public support is expected to further heighten interest in ‘AMA’ as fans prepare for what is being billed as a major movie event.
