One killed, 10 injured in Adukrom–Somanya road accident
One person has died and 10 others sustained injuries after two Hyundai H100 passenger vehicles collided on the Adukrom–Somanya Highway.
The accident occurred at Akode No. 2, near Aseseso, on Tuesday, August 11, 2026.
According to the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS), the Kpong Fire Station received a distress call at about 6:03 a.m. and immediately dispatched personnel to the scene.
Firefighters arrived at approximately 6:34 a.m. and found two Hyundai H100 vehicles, with registration numbers ER 1564-21 and ER 1660-21, involved in the crash.
The collision left several occupants injured, prompting firefighters to assist with the rescue operation and provide initial care to the victims at the scene.
One person was pronounced dead following the crash, while the 10 injured victims were transported to the Yilo Krobo Hospital for further medical treatment.
Firefighters also retrieved the body of the deceased from the scene.
The cause of the accident and the circumstances that led to the collision between the two vehicles had not been established at the time of reporting.
