“Men who marry women with children have low IQ” – Kumchacha

Prophet Nicholas Osei, popularly known as Kumchacha, has stirred controversy with advice urging young men to think carefully before marrying women who already have children.

The founder and leader of Heaven’s Gate Ministries argued that a man who is at the beginning of his adult life should not take on a marriage where his prospective partner already has children.

Speaking in an interview, Kumchacha likened such a union to entering a football match after one side has already gained an advantage, insisting that the decision could create challenges for a young man starting his life.

“If a woman already has children, and you are a young man just starting out in life, why would you consider marrying her? Have you ever seen a football match where one team is already leading before the game even begins? In my view, any man who chooses to marry a woman with children has a low IQ. If both the man and the woman already have children, then it is understandable because they are both coming into the marriage with children. But for a young man who is just starting life to marry a woman who already has children, that is simply nonsense,” he stated.

The controversial preacher said the position reflects his personal preference and revealed that he would not support his own child marrying a woman who already has children.

He maintained that such women can still find partners who are comfortable with their circumstances, particularly men who also have children, but insisted that he would not encourage a young man without children to make that choice.

Asked whether he would officiate or bless such a marriage in his capacity as a preacher, Kumchacha gave an unexpected response.

“Even in my church, I do not advise my congregants to have weddings.”

His comments are likely to fuel renewed debate over relationships involving single parents, particularly the expectations and challenges that come with blending families.
