Ghanaian musician Peter Famiyeh Bozah, popularly known as Fameye, has revealed that he has changed the way he handles relationships and responsibilities after realising that taking on other people’s struggles was affecting his own life.

Speaking in an interview with Kobby Kyei, Fameye explained that he previously felt responsible for solving the problems of others but has now learned to create boundaries and focus on his personal growth.

“The pressure I have in life is from people’s burden. I used to be like that, but now, people’s problems are not mine. I’m growing and I’ve learnt to say no. Learn how to say no to people,” he said.

The “Nothing I Get” hitmaker advised people facing difficult situations to identify what is causing their challenges and make decisions that protect their future instead of remaining trapped in unhealthy circumstances.

“When you’re going through something and you know the cause of it, just move away, stay disciplined and concentrate on yourself. You’re more important in this life than anyone else,” Fameye stated.

Fameye also cautioned against extreme sacrifices for others, noting that people must value their own lives because the world continues after they are gone.

“When you’re no longer there, people will move on,” he added.

The musician further shared that he is mindful of people who support him, saying he often checks whether their sacrifices are worth the risks involved.

“If someone is doing something for me, I constantly ask the person if they’re okay doing it for me because if they die trying for me, I will replace you. The crazy thing is, you can get a replacement who is better than the one who died,” he said.

The award-winning artiste added that his definition of success has shifted, with more attention now placed on creating memories with his family and loved ones. He said he makes time to enjoy life with his wife, children and close friends whenever he gets the opportunity.

“These days, when I get some money, I take my wife and children out to have fun. Sometimes, I go out with my close friends. In life, you have to enjoy and make sure you enjoy yourself with the people you love and those who love you,” Fameye noted.

Fameye’s comments reflect his personal growth and changing outlook as he balances his music career, family responsibilities and the pressures that come with fame.
