A man identified as Ibrahim has made a series of allegations against his wife, Jennifer, claiming years of physical abuse, mistrust and spiritual intimidation have left him unemployed and battling ill health.

Speaking on Oyerepa Afutuo, hosted by Auntie Naa on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, Ibrahim narrated the challenges he says led to the collapse of their marriage.

According to him, he brought Jennifer from Assin Fosu to Kumasi after they got married, and together they initially lived with his mother before moving into their own home.

“I brought my wife, Jennifer, here today. When I married her, she was in Assin Fosu, and I brought her to Kumasi. At first, we lived with my mother. Later, we built a small apartment, and I also opened a store,” he said.

Ibrahim alleged that problems began after Jennifer became overly suspicious of him and secretly copied almost all the contacts from his phone.

“One of my customers called me and asked why I had given his contact to my wife, so I apologised to him. When I asked my wife why she had called my customer, I realised she had transferred almost all my contacts to her phone. She said she wanted to be extra careful with me,” he stated.

He further claimed that his wife frequently accused him of infidelity whenever he returned home late from work and often assaulted him during disagreements.

“Whenever I got home late, she accused me of meeting other women she believed I was cheating with. She would assault me over the slightest issue. The assaults became too much. She has injured me countless times,” Ibrahim alleged.

He also accused Jennifer of taking household belongings and important documents to her hometown without his consent, saying the matter was later resolved after he reported it to her father.

According to Ibrahim, tensions worsened after he admitted to fathering a child with another woman. He claimed Jennifer responded by placing a curse on him and demanded compensation through her family before she would withdraw it.

“I later told her that I had fathered a child with another woman. She cursed me afterwards and said unless I took the matter to her family and compensated them, she would not reverse the curse. She also said she wanted our household properties; otherwise, she would not reverse the curse,” he alleged.

Making an emotional appeal during the programme, Ibrahim said he was willing to surrender the property if it would bring an end to his suffering.

“I am ready to give her the properties if she will reverse the curse because I am really suffering now. I have also lost my job. I am getting sick each and every day. I can’t trade my life for properties, so she should come for the properties and reverse the curse,” he pleaded.
