Afro-dancehall star Livingstone Etse Satekla, popularly known as Stonebwoy, has extended his support to those affected by the disruption that forced the cancellation of fellow Ghanaian artiste Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jr., known in showbiz as Shatta Wale, during his ShattaFest UK concert in London.

Stonebwoy reacted to the incident in a post on his X page on August 1, 2026, expressing sadness over the development and highlighting the impact such situations have on artistes, promoters, organisers, and fans working to promote Ghanaian music globally.

“This is definitely not the kind of news any event organiser, artist, fan or promoter of the Ghana music agenda wants to hear. Our hearts go out to all those affected,” Stonebwoy wrote.

The message from the ‘Manodzi’ hitmaker came shortly after Shatta Wale’s management announced that the event had been cancelled following safety concerns at the venue.

ShattaFest UK, organised in partnership with Ghana Party in the Park, was halted at Copthall Playing Fields in London after security officials reportedly stepped in over overcrowding concerns at the entrance area. Reports from the scene indicated that the heavy gathering of patrons created a dangerous situation, leaving some attendees injured.

Although organisers initially suggested that the interruption was temporary, they later confirmed that the concert would not continue after consultations with authorities.

The development has attracted attention across Ghana’s entertainment industry, with Stonebwoy’s response showing solidarity beyond the long-standing rivalry between him and Shatta Wale. The incident has also renewed discussions about crowd control and safety planning at major music events.
