Ghanaian fashion entrepreneur and Kristo Asafo Mission member, Richard Brown, popularly known as Osebo the Zaraman, has cautioned mourners attending the final funeral rites of Apostle Kwadwo Safo Kantanka to be careful with bottled water offered to them at the event.

While speaking at the funeral grounds in Gomoa Mpota in the Central Region, Osebo shared what he described as a precautionary measure for mourners, advising them to check bottled water before consuming it.

According to him, mourners should first press the bottle to test its condition. He explained that bottles which squeeze easily should not be consumed, while those that remain firm should have their mouths cleaned before drinking.

“If you’re given bottled water to drink, squeeze the bottle first. If it compresses easily, throw it away. If it doesn’t, clean the mouth of the bottle before drinking it, because there are some people who are cobras,” he said.

Osebo’s comments came during the funeral rites of Apostle Kwadwo Safo Kantanka, founder and leader of the Kristo Asafo Mission, who is being honoured by family, church members, friends and sympathisers following his passing.

The funeral has attracted a large gathering despite a temporary legal dispute surrounding the arrangements. The Accra High Court recently issued a 10-day injunction restraining former Dome-Kwabenya Member of Parliament Sarah Adwoa Safo from proceeding with the funeral arrangements pending the resolution of a case before the court.

The dispute was raised by Nana Kwadwo Safo Akofena I, brother of Adwoa Safo, who challenged aspects of the announced burial plans and called for further discussions before the final arrangements were concluded.

Despite the legal development, mourners continued to gather at Gomoa Mpota to pay their last respects to the respected spiritual leader, inventor and founder of the Kristo Asafo movement.
