Charterhouse Public Relations Officer and entertainment executive Robert Klah has renewed calls for dancehall giants Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jr., popularly known as Shatta Wale, and Livingstone Etse Satekla, known in showbiz as Stonebwoy, to settle their differences and unite for the benefit of Ghana’s music industry.

Robert Klah believes the two award-winning artistes, who openly identify with Christianity, can allow their faith to inspire peace and reconciliation after years of public rivalry.

“These two individuals profess God. So whatever is going on, at some point in their career… I am hoping that one day the God they profess shall manifest so that we can see that that element of God is love,” he said.

The entertainment executive pointed to past rivalries among international dancehall stars such as Vybz Kartel and Mavado, as well as Beenie Man and Bounty Killer, noting that former competitors have found ways to work together despite their differences.

According to Klah, a possible collaboration between Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy would not only create a historic moment for Ghanaian music but could also generate significant financial opportunities.

“Even if you look at the possible financial benefits if these two work together at some point in terms of concerts and sales, you can imagine the numbers they are going to draw,” he added.

The two musicians have had a highly publicised rivalry over the years, with occasional calls from industry players for them to put their differences aside. Their relationship recently returned to public discussion after Shatta Wale referred to Stonebwoy as his “boy” during an interview in Nigeria, prompting a response from the Bhim Nation leader.

Robert Klah’s comments have once again reignited conversations about the possibility of peace between two of Ghana’s biggest dancehall stars and what such a reunion could mean for the entertainment industry.
