Ghanaian Afro-dancehall star Stonebwoy, born Livingstone Etse Satekla, has dismissed claims that he invites several guest artistes to his concerts because of pressure or competition.

Speaking on the ‘Sent Back’ Podcast, the BHIM Nation founder explained that his main responsibility as a performer is to deliver an unforgettable experience for his audience, rather than prove himself against other artistes.

Stonebwoy, who is preparing to host BHIM Festival in London in August 2026, said guest appearances are meant to increase excitement at his shows and not because he lacks enough material to entertain fans on his own.

“As for the pressure, if there’s any at all, it’s the pressure to satisfy the masses. We want to give them more and more. That’s where the pressure comes from. But regardless, if an artist is doing any event, they mean to come give the best of the best. You also have to grow into that level because people build gradually,” he said.

The “Putuu” hitmaker also revealed that his decision to stage BHIM Festival outside the busy March period is deliberate, explaining that spreading major concerts across the year gives fans more opportunities to enjoy different events without overcrowding the entertainment calendar.

“It’s also intentional not to wait until March because there will be a lot happening then. Imagine if all of us decided to host our events in March. It would be difficult because we can’t all fit into one period. So let’s spread things out and keep the fans excited throughout the year. That’s what we’re about,” he stated.

Stonebwoy further stressed that his personal music catalogue is strong enough to sustain a lengthy performance, adding that bringing other artistes on stage is simply to create more memorable moments for fans.

“Believe me, we have plans to bring excitement and surprises, but to me, there’s no pressure. If there’s any pressure at all, it’s simply the pressure to satisfy the masses. As for performing alone, my catalogue alone can keep me on stage for five or even six hours for my core people, so to bring another people it just means we want the excitement to go up,” he added.

The remarks come as Stonebwoy continues to expand his global presence, with BHIM Festival becoming one of Ghana’s biggest music events connecting local audiences with international fans.
