Ghanaian actress and socialite Rosemond Alade Brown, popularly known as Akuapem Poloo, has argued that physical beauty, curvy body features and financial success are not enough to guarantee a stable or lasting marriage.

Speaking during an interview, the outspoken media personality said many women wrongly believe that being attractive or financially independent automatically secures a man’s commitment. According to her, real-life experiences have shown otherwise.

“Sometimes we ladies think beauty, having body features, or being rich can keep a man,” she said.

Akuapem Poloo noted that she has seen several women with attractive physiques whose marriages still ended despite possessing the qualities many consider desirable.

“But I have noticed that there are lots of people who have good shapes who have married, and their marriages still collapsed. That should tell you that big butts cannot keep a man,” she stated.

She added that professional achievements and high-paying careers also do not guarantee marital success, stressing that many accomplished women have experienced failed marriages.

“There are women who work at big banks and corporations who have married, and their marriages still failed. So those things are not guaranteed to keep a man,” she added.

Akuapem Poloo, who has often made headlines for openly discussing relationships and personal experiences, used the interview to encourage women to look beyond appearance and material success when building lasting relationships.
